BOINC_MST_Creator.hta is the script file, with the form,
that creates the
BOINC
MST. If you're wondering,
HTML Application (HTA) files are standard HTML web page
files, that run in Internet Explorer but without any of
the normal security restrictions that prevent access to
files on your computer.
Uninstall_BOINC.hta is another script file, with a form,
that allows you to remove
BOINC
completely from any number of your Domain Computers. You
can find instructions on the
Maintenance page.
BoincView_Add_Workstations.hta allows you to quickly add
your computers to the configuration file of
BoincView.
BoincView is similar to the normal
BOINC Manager that you are used to, however it allows
you to view and control all of your workstations at once.
You can find configuring instructions on the
Maintenance
page.
When you run this script, it will restart all of the workstations
that are in BOINC Computers group on your Windows
Domain. It is configured to ignore all servers by default,
so you should run it from one of them or a non member computer,
otherwise you'll restart yourself before the script has
completed!
If you are looking to just restart a couple of workstations, you can use SHUTDOWN.EXE which is included with Windows XP and Server 2003. (It can be downloaded for Windows 2000.) The command line syntax is available here. You'll need to download the latest Windows version of the BOINC installation package before Building the MST This will save you from having to download the entire Installer SDK if you want to have a go at manually adjusting the MSI/MST files. (The full Installer SDK package has lots of information and VB Script examples if you are interested)
